Through
The Cultural Council for Monterey County's Professional
Artists in the Schools Program, Monterey World Music Festival Educational
Outreach presents renowned international musicians at Monterey County
public schools, K-12 and colleges, involving at least 650 students every
year. The Festival opens minds to a world united by the universal language
of music with rare opportunities to experience the diversity of global
musical traditions and cultures. This year, SOLÁS,
the HASSAN HAKMOUN ENSEMBLE and the MAMADOU
DIABATÉ ENSEMBLE will bring cultural education to the Monterey
Peninsula, Gonzales and Salinas schools; sharing their creative passion
and expertise with children and young adults. |
